To Aunt Mert & family,
My condolences on the loss of your son, and brother.
Mark was a man who loved his family.
I pray that your tears of sadness become tears of joy in remembering his legacy.
Throughout our lives Mark has always been, and will continue to be, my “cousin-brother” – from 1st remembrances we were nearly always together; from riding our bikes to Runza Hut & Sherman Field to watch our dad’s play ball, to/through all the antics of high school.
Without counting the years, feels like we’ve always been cousin-brothers.
I’ll miss Mark and his kindness & and love for his family & friends, as we all will, but I know I’ll see him again when it’s my time.
“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more. Neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore; for the former things have passed away.”
Revelation 21:4
Love you brother.
With loving regards and sweet rememberances,
– Bradley (“Brad”) Grell

I am so sorry I cannot be there today. I am proud to say Mark is my first cousin. There is a bit of an age gap, and Mark and I didn’t really connect until I was in college. It was great to get to know Mark as the years went on and we connected as cousins and friends. He was always very kind and caring to me, and would always go out of his way to hang out when I came back to town after moving away. I kept in touch with him and most recently received lots of cute pictures of Marley, who I know made him smile. Love you Mark, and will come visit you when I come back home.

My sincere sympathy to the entire Grell family. We all went to Prescott school together then Lincoln High. I have such fond memories of the lovely and gracious Mrs. Grell and her dear beautiful sister shopping at Hovland Swanson when I was a Hi-Styler at Hovlands. Always saw the Grell family in the Prescott-Irving neighborhood and later on in life, Sundays at the Cornhusker Hotel having brunch together. A great family and Mark was always “The Gentleman” he passed way too soon and I’ll miss that happy face and great smile❤️🙏🏻💙RIP Mark.

I will always remember what a kind soul Mark was and what a good heart he had. I am so sorry to hear about his passing. Once Mark was your friend he was always there for you. He runs through many of my childhood memories and when I saw him later in life we would just pick up where we left off. May he rest in peace.

Martha, Casey, Garrett and the entire Grell family, my wife Debbie and I would like to extend our sincere condolences and prayers to you all with the passing of Mark. Mark has been big a part of our lives for over 35 years and was thought of as family.
