Alison “Ali” Van Slyke, 34, of Lincoln passed away with her family by her side on November 7, 2021. Born in Lincoln, NE, on December 9, 1986, to Andrew and Susan (Raasch) Lundy.
Ali had a creative mind, a quick wit, was very goal driven, and loyal to a fault. She enjoyed attending concerts and organizing/planning events for those closest to her. Ali enjoyed sports and was a Husker fan, attending many games with her father and cheering (sometimes cussing) them on! She enjoyed many activities but most important to her were time spent with her family and friends. When you were in her circle, you were for the long-haul. Ali was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Ali is living her most beautiful and pain-free life now. Nothing will take away the pain in our hearts but knowing she is sitting next to Jesus, who takes away all of her hurt, eases some of this pain.
Family members include her loving husband Brent and beautiful daughter Blake of Lincoln; parents Andy and Sue; siblings Kile (Fianceé Natasha) Lundy and Megan (Justin) Cooksley all of Lincoln; in laws Dan (Connie) Van Slyke; brother-in-law Corbin (Lauren) Van Slyke and sister-in-law Tarin (Travis) Giesselmann; nieces and nephews Knox, Dexter, Brixton, Baylor, Taysum; Grandmother Marjorie Lundy and Grandfather Donald Raasch.
Memorial Service will be held 2:30 p.m., Thursday, November 11, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 7900 Trendwood Drive, Lincoln, NE 68506. Father Robert Johnson officiating.
Memorials may be given to the family for a future designation.
