She enjoyed flowers, gardening, vacations with family and friends, cheering on the Husker’s Volleyball and Football teams, and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Mary Ann is survived by her daughter Angela (Tony) Ways; son Matthew Swanson; grandchildren Gabrielle, Olivia, and Aaron Ways; brother Roger (Karen) Pieper; sister Joyce (Kent) Windhorst; niece Kimberly Soltis and nephews, Tom, and Steve Pieper, and Goeffrey Chriswisser.
She was preceded in death by her husband Larry Swanson, parents August and Ruby Pieper and grandson Jordan Ways.
The family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Mary Ann’s life at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 8, 2021, at Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Drive. Masks are required.
