David Lee Johnson, 72, of Lincoln, passed away August 29, 2018. Born July 18, 1946 in Nehawka, NE to Arthur and Ruby (Moss) Johnson. Program Specialist for the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality. Worked on permitting landfills, transfer stations and compost facilities. He was the state expert in composting operations.
Family members include his mother, Ruby Johnson; daughters Jamie Johnson-Bracic (Ivan) and Christina (Lee) Barella; grandchildren Sofia and Valentino Barella; sister Connie Soucie; nieces, nephews and cousins; dear friend Carla Felix and her family.
Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday (9-1-18) Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Drive (40th & Yankee Hill Rd.) with Pastor Ken Block officiating.
