George W. Underwood, 93 of Lincoln passed away on August 5, 2018. Born May 8, 1925 to George G. and Clara (Schoeppner) Underwood in Templeton, IA. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church, DAV, and the American Legion.
Survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Eunice Underwood; daughters, Debra (Norm) Hedgecock, Nancy (Lester) Buckley; sons, Kevin Underwood, Scott Underwood; grandchildren, Jon (Jenny) Hedgecock, Jake (Taylor) Hedgecock, Greg (Kerstin) Buckley, Elizabeth (Matt) Breunsbach, Grant (Kelsey) Buckley, George P. Underwood; great grandchildren, Charlotte, Eloise, Jack Breunsbach, Vivian Buckley, Libby Buckley; sisters, Ruth Goeglein, Patricia (Dan) Murray; nieces, nephews and loved ones. Preceded in death by his parents; infant son; sisters, Ruby Tyler, Norma Underwood, Marion Gill, Dorothy Hier.
Funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday (8-8-18) at Trinity Lutheran Church, 724 S 12th St. No visitation. Burial at Lincoln Memorial Park.
