Rodney D. Rutt, 80, of Lincoln, passed away April 30, 2018. Born May 5, 1937 in Lincoln, NE to Herman and Mollie (Geier) Rutt. U. S. Marine Corps Korean War Veteran. He enjoyed a good meal with family and cup of coffee and donuts with buddies, working on WWII models, his 1934 street rod, and was an avid hunter. He loved spending time with family and friends. Most of his working years were spent as a “Master Manipulator of the Baked Clay Product”, as a masonry contractor.
Family members include his wife of 60 years, Careen; son, Michael, Portland, OR; daughter, Jennifer (Vince) Rea; granddaughter, Alexa Rea; brother, Terry (Pam) Rutt; all of Lincoln; extended family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents and son, Kevin Rutt.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Friday (5-4-18) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street.
Memorials in lieu of flowers to Peoples City Mission, Friendship Home or Capital Humane Society.
Visitation one hour prior to service time.
