John H. “Jack” Vaughn, 70, Lincoln, formerly Omaha, passed away May 13, 2017.Born November 9, 1946 in McCook, NE to Cecil H. and Doris (Eastburn) Vaughn. U. S. Army Vietnam Veteran. Graduate of Fort Dodge H.S. and Wayne State College. Married his wife, Joyce A. Rogge on June 8, 1996.

Jack was President of First American Savings & Loan and owner of Priority One Mortgage Company in Omaha, additionally worked at Dell Systems of Lincoln. He was a member of Southwood Lutheran Church, American Legion, President of Clinton, IA Jaycees, Heartland Community Bankers, Nebraska Mortgage Assn., Omaha 100 Low Income Housing, and Nebraska Savings & Loan League.

Family members include his wife, Joyce; children, Damon Vaughn, Cedar Rapids, IA and Lezlee (Ryan) Schutty, Ankeny, IA; Shelly (Wade) Anderson and Tiffany (Grant) Wieland, all of Lincoln; 9 grandchildren, Josie Vaughn, Chase Schutty, Carter Schutty, Colt Schutty, Eric Anderson, Hugh Anderson, Mason Wieland, Carter Wieland, and Addison Wieland; brothers, Dave (Toni) Vaughn, Kansas City, MO and Ted (Kim) Vaughn, Ft. Dodge, IA; brother-in-law, Dick Wilson, Ft. Dodge, IA; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Mary Wilson; brother, Ed Vaughn; granddaughter, Lilly Vaughn.

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. Thursday (5-18-17) Southwood Lutheran Church, 4301 Wilderness Hills Blvd. with Pastor Karl John Stone officiating. Visitation one hour prior to service time at the church.

Memorials to St. Jude’s Hospital, Southwood Lutheran Church or Tabitha Hospice.
