Obituary

Virginia E. “Ginny” (Tisdel) Mueller

October 28, 1939 - October 7, 2018

Virginia E.

Virginia E. “Ginny” (Tisdel) Mueller, 78, of Lincoln passed away October 7, 2018. Born October 28, 1939 to Virgina (Roth) Chandler and her first husband in Salem, NE and later adopted by second husband Lyle Foster.

On December 21, 1956, six weeks after meeting the most amazing man, Curt Tisdel, they were married and God granted them the privilege of parenting three of the most beautiful and wonderful daughters. Curt left for heaven March 18, 2000.

Ginny loved to travel and visited fourteen countries, every state in the U.S. and every town in Nebraska. She did many things for many people. She taught bible school and Sunday school, served on the board of two churches, organized fundraisers for people in need, started Nebr.Ident-a-kid and traveled the state and Iowa fingerprinting children at police stations, started food giveaways in Falls City and Beaver Crossing, made hats, scarfs and furnished socks for children and adults at Peoples City Mission, helped seniors find energy assistance and repairs for their homes.

Ginny decided to build a memorial for veterans of four wars and after many months of research and designing it now stands proudly on the courthouse lawn in Falls City, as a reminder of the sacrifice to those who lost their lives defending our freedom.

She loved to hug and gave warm hugs to everyone she met, she had many friends. She would say a stranger is just a friend I haven’t met yet.

On July 20, 2002 Ginny married Lloyd Mueller. To this marriage Lloyd brought five more children.

Preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Curt Tisdel, brother Herb Foster, and brother-in-law Donald Mueller.

Survived by her husband Lloyd Mueller; daughters Angie (Walt) McFee, Patricia Garcia, Sherri (Bob) Howard; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; step-children Kathy (Tim) Bader, Sandi Jo (Greg) Taylor, Darla (Tim) Kallhoff, Collette (Kelly) Lokken, Lloyd Edward (Lori) Mueller, 14 step-grandchildren and 6 step-great grandchildren; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law Darlene Mueller, Willard (Marlene) Mueller, Gayle (Dee) Mueller and Larry (Marcia) Mueller.

As per Ginny’s wishes, please pass around a hug and do a random act of kindness for another person.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday (10-13-18) Northeast United Church of Christ, 6200 Adams Street.

For those unable to attend the funeral service in Lincoln the burial at Maple Cemetery in Salem, Nebraska will be around 2:30 p.m.
