My condolences on Toni’s passing. Even though I had only one class with her as a graduate student, it had a big influence on my parenting skills. My daughter was 13 at the time I took Adolescent Psychology which was perfect. I remember her telling stories about you, Tara.
I not only used practically what I learned but passed it on to many other parents always using her name and citing that class.
Just yesterday I commented that my 13 year old granddaughter was “trying on identities” in her story writing.
Hurray for Toni and her wonderful teaching. Peace be with you all.

I’m so very sorry to learn of Toni’s passing. I’ll always be grateful to have had her as a colleague and friend. She brought great energy and passion to her teaching and departmental leadership, focused by her deep love and understanding of adolescent development. Her enthusiasm for what she taught will continue to influence all of us fortunate enough to have studied or worked with her.

My thoughts, prayers and condolences to Charlie, Tara and family. Toni was such a great friend to my mother for so many years. Words can’t express the gratitude for her time, candor, patience and love she has spent on our family for all these years. She will live on in my heart forever. May you find comfort and strength at this time in the many memories you hold dear. Rest in peace Toni. Thank you….. Tell my mom hello !
Toni was a wonderful inspiration for me. She wrote a letter of reference for my doc program, taught me adolescent psychology, gave me a job teaching and provided the inspiration and support I needed. She was a great woman. The world has lost a true scholar and woman with a great sense of humor! My heart is sad tonight and my thoughts are with all of you.
Charlie, I’m very sorry for your loss. Toni was immensely talented, both in her intellect and in her culinary prowess.
