Nicholas A. Mantzios, 28, of Minneapolis, passed away on December 1, 2019. Born July 6, 1991 to Christos Mantzios and Melanie Whittamore-Mantzios in Lincoln, NE.
Nick attended Zeman Elementary, Morley Elementary and Lux Middle School. Nick graduated from Lincoln East High School in 2009 and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio in 2014.
Nick worked at Invacare in Elyria, Ohio, Zimmer Biomet in Canton, Ohio, and recently at Medtronic in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Survivors include his parents; sister, Sophia Mantzios; Aunt Fani Mantziou, cousins Niko Giannoukas, Thothori Giannoukas and wife Eva and their daughter Faye; Godparents Elias and Anna Giannoukas and daughter Christina, all from Larisa Greece; Uncle Chuck Sanderson and wife Edith; Uncle Royce Whittamore and wife Michelle, cousins Royce and wife Anise and Barbie Whittamore; Uncle Doug Whittamore and wife Phoebe, and cousins Rachel Rhodes and husband Jake and their baby Reid, and Chelsea Whittamore; Aunt Colleen Evans, husband Paul, cousins Sara, Melissa, and Isabella Evans; Aunt Sheri Diesing, husband Bob, cousins Travis, Allie, and Trent Diesing; and Uncle Christopher Whittamore. Preceded in death by his grandparents Sophia and Nicholas Mantzios of Larisa, Greece, Barbara and Elmer Whittamore, and his cousin James Whittamore.
Celebration of Life gathering will be 1-3 p.m., Saturday (12-7-19) at Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Dr. Cremation/No visitation.
Memorial contributions may be directed towards the family for future designation.
