Miriam Andrea Kawa-Andrews passed away December 26, 2019. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Ted and Jan Kawa. Miriam is survived by her husband, John Andrews, and son, Aidan Andrews.
Miriam will be remembered by the energy she brought to everyone’s life and her love of the Arts. Born in Omaha but lived much of her school years in rural Nebraska, graduating from Adams Central HS. She attended the University of Nebraska and loved the benefits that her Art Degree provided. She scratched her artistic itch from one continent to another and even made a run at living in New York City. Her strong personality and conviction to family were those traits Miriam held most dear.
Her real joy however mainly revolved around being a mother to Aidan and married to John. She supported both boys by encouraging them to always ‘be themselves’. Her focus was on family up until her passing.
Memorials are suggested to the family.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. John’s Cathedral on January 17th at 6 p.m., 2500 California Plaza (Creighton Campus), Omaha, NE 68178.
