Michael E. Wirkus, 64, of Lincoln, passed away on January 31, 2019. Born on November 4, 1954 in St. Paul, Minnesota. Son of Raymond and Louise and stepson of Karen. Mike had many hobbies including fishing in the lakes of Minnesota, flea marketing, antiquing, going to auctions and yard sales, being outside and tinkering with things and talking to anyone and everyone. He was fluent in b.s.ing and telling stories as tall as Paul Bunyan himself. He loved playing card games, dice and dominoes with family and friends.
Family members include daughters, Theresa (Tyler) and Krystal (Chad); former wife, Brenda; siblings, Theresa (John), Bernie (Kerri), Dave (Tristen) and Pat (Lisa); step siblings, Angie, Jim (Susana), and Joe (Tracy); grandchildren, Hayden, Brendan and Isabella (Due June 2019); numerous nieces, nephews, great nephews and many other family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Cheryl.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, 2/8/19 at 3:00 p.m. at Roper and Sons Funeral Home, 4300 ‘O’ Street, Lincoln, NE. No burial/Cremation.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for future designation.
