Micah P. Sutton

July 12, 1983 - February 12, 2021

Micah P. Sutton

Micah Peter Sutton was born and grew up in Lincoln, attending Clinton, Culler, and East High. He played cello in the East orchestra, participated in the Microtech Club and Info-Tech Program. As a member of BSA Troop 49 Micah reached the rank of Eagle Scout, traveling and camping in Nebraska, Colorado and at Philmont Scout Ranch, New Mexico. He loved the outdoors especially float trips on the Green, San Juan and Rio Chama, Dismal, Middle and North Loop, Platte, Elkhorn and Niobrara Rivers with his family, friends, or troop-mates. After graduating UNL in International Studies/Computer Science he worked in computer programming and technical customer service.  Micah studied in Japan and was fluent in Japanese and several programming languages. For fun he organized and participated in online games and enjoyed board and role-playing games with his friends. Micah loved his family and friends; they loved him and his booming laugh and wry sense of humor.  He kept his own council but was an empathetic, loyal, and helpful friend. Micah was always up-to-date and ready to discuss the latest space flight projects and launches at NASA and SpaceEx. Think of him when you hear of a successful space launch.

Preceded in death by his cousin, Colin Sutton and his grand parents, Phil and Betty Sutton and Tom and Bonnie Head.  Micah is survived by his parents, Richard and Lisa Sutton (Lincoln), his brother Reid Sutton (McCall, ID), uncles and aunts: Stan and Joan Sutton (Topeka, KS) Tom and Thayer Head (Blairmore, AB) Douglas and Vana Sutton (Durango, CO)  Allen Head (Milwaukee, WI), Danny and Mary Rodman (Durango, CO)  Cousins: Bjorn Sutton (Brooke) (Durango, CO); Sarah Head (Bill) (Lethbridge, AB), Stephanie Mersereau (Andre) (Ottawa, ON), Walker Rodman, (Durango, CO). Special friends, Andy Schock, Carey Collingham, Ryan Hiatt, and Drew Lytle.

No Services. Cremated remains to be interred at Carleton Cemetery.
