Merle E. Grable, 78, Waverly, passed away May 7, 2018. Born July 31, 1939 in Elk Creek, NE to Arthur George and Margaret Lydia (Tuxhorn) Grable. Ret. welder from National Crane Company after 30 years.
Family members include his son, Paul, Waverly; daughter, Mary (Scott) Farber, Waldorf, MD; 3 grandchildren, Hilary and Sara Farber, Lincoln, Michael Farber, Waldorf, MD; 2 great-grandchildren, Abby and Alex Bauer, Lincoln; brother, Roger (Kay) Grable, Independence, MO; other family members, Roslynn Thom and Ronald Thom; family friend, Diane Baker, all of Omaha. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Paulette.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday (5-15-18) Faith Lutheran Church, 8701 Adams Street with Pastor Gary Dunker officiating. Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday in St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Elk Creek, NE.
Visitation with family present from 5-7 p.m. Monday at Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ Street.
