Marie M. Nolte Allen, 98, was born to C. Adolph and Louise (Retzlaff) Nolte on December 6, 1922. She went to Heaven on April 27, 2O2l. She graduated f rom Walton High School and Lincoln School of Commerce. Marie married Harlan S. Allen, the love of her life, on June 2, 1946. They cherished daughters Judy Keetle and Marcilee Hergenrader.

Marie was the cornerstone of the family she adored. She celebrated life to the fullest and if there was a special occasion it was reason to celebrate with a meal around a table – all the common holidays and then there were Palm Sunday Pancakes!! Birthdays were celebrated to the fullest. Marie always said that your birthday was the very special day God sent you into the world.

She was a lifelong Lutheran Church Missouri Synod member. She was always there to encourage and support family members. lf her daughters were involved in something, she was there volunteering her time and energy – life member of PTA, Campfire leader, and president of the sorority parents’ group.

Marie is survived by daughters Judy Keetle and Marcilee (Mark) Hergenrader.
Grandchildren and great-grandchildren Steve (Amy) Keetle, Mya, Sophie; Mike (Tina) Hergenrader, Catie, Sam, Elisabeth, Nate; Matt (Melanie) Hergenrader, Max, Emmy; Anne (Mike) Fargen, Padraig, Finley; Mitch (Renee) Hergenrader, Reese.

Preceded in death by parents, sisters Bernice and Ruth, husband Harlan, son-in-law Roger Keetle, grandson Christopher Keetle.

Visitation at Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300’O’Street, Friday, April 30, 2021 from 5- 7:00 pm.
Private family burial at Trinity Lutheran Church, Walton.
Services 2:00 p.m., Sat., May 1 at Christ Lutheran Church, 4325 Sumner.
Memorials in lieu of flowers to the family for future designation.
