Lois Marie Johnson Kemble
Lois Marie Johnson Kemble, 87, of Lincoln passed away February 11, 2021. Born October 31, 1933 in Oakland, IA to Johnnie C. and Grace D. (Kay) Johnson.
Lois was a graduate of Dana College in Blair, NE. She taught school for over 25 years retiring in 1998. She taught at Southeast Community College, Lincoln School of Commerce, Lyons, Valentine, and Fremont Public Schools.
Lois was a member of Eastridge Presbyterian Church, lifetime Deacon of Presbyterian Church, lifetime member Certified Professional Secretary, member of Board for Nebraska Teacher’s Credit Union, President of Friends at Fairview, and usher coordinator for Lincoln Community Playhouse.
Lois enjoyed genealogy, Johnson family reunion, 4th of July breakfast, history, loved books, new family members, Nebraska College sports teams, especially volleyball, baseball and basketball
Family members include her husband Edward; son Nile (Annette) Kemble, Columbia, MO; daughters Lisa (Jeffrey) Sheppard, Omaha and Lora (Mark) Higgins, South Range, WI grandchildren Jessica (Blake) Aversman, Alex Sheppard, Colin (Allison) Kemble, Ryne (Bailey) Higgins, Max (Sarah) Lyrata, Tyler Kemble, Caroline (Blake) Johnson, and Hannah Sheppard; great-grandchildren Evelyn and Vivian Kemble, Carter Aversman; brothers-in-law Harold (Mary Ellen Sacco) Kemble, Warwick RI and Stephen (Joleen Huguenin) Kemble, Cedar Rapids, IA. Preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Phyllis
Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday (2-16-21) Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Drive with Pastor Thomas Dummermuth officiating. Interment in Fairview Cemetery.
Following the CDC COVID-19 guidelines, masks are required for all in attendance.
