Lawrence “Larry” Young, 85 of Lincoln, passed away on February 20, 2021. Born on July 11, 1935 in Brock, NE, to Homer and Edna (Scrimsher) Young. Larry enjoyed many activities and was a member of the Kiwanis for many years. Most important to Larry were his faith and his family, especially being a part of the many activities of his grandchildren.
Family members include his children, Beth (Dave) Johnson, of Hastings, Jeff (Renee) Young of Omaha, NE, and Jan (Dale) Sackett of Malcolm, NE; grandchildren Jena Johnson, Jacob (Rachelle) Johnson, Libby (Zach) Duffy, Anna (Justin) Pratt, Alli (Scott) Winter, Dane (Chelsea) Sackett, Ty (Morgan) Sackett, Noah Sackett, and Beau Sackett; great-grandchildren Nora, Charlotte, Clare, Braylee, Brystal, and Tucker; numerous extended family members and friends. Preceded in death by his parents and wife Carol.
Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Melanoma Research Alliance.
Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at the Northwest Community Church, 10200 Malcolm Rd, Malcolm, NE 68402 COVID-19 guidelines will be observed and masks are required to attend services.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 23, 2021, at Lincoln Memorial Park (meet at Gate 2).
