Larry Thomas Gilliland, 60, Lincoln, passed away January 13, 2019. Born August 24, 1958 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Fred Thomas and Charlotte Rae (Chism) Gilliland.
Larry graduated from Lincoln Southeast High School in 1977 where he played football and ran Track. Was a U.S. Air Guard Veteran. He enjoyed watching Husker football and NASCAR.
Larry was a kind and caring soul that would lend a hand to help in any way he could. Larry worked for many different companies; truck driver for the City of Lincoln, Burlington Northern Railroad, Wyuka Cemetery, and Game and Parks Commission.
Family members include his father and step-mother Fred (Illa) Gilliland; brother and sister-in-law Gary and Mary Gilliland, all of Lincoln; nephew Lukas Gilliland; Step-brother Mark (Jaci) Nichelson, Columbus; step-sister Michelle (Justin) Henry, Lincoln and many other friends and family that he has meant over the years. Preceded in death by his mother and step-father Charlotte and Duayne Nichelson; grandparents Evertt and Eva Chism.
