Judy Ann Fernau

Judy Fernau, 81, passed away at home February 11, 2021. Born to Bud and Ann Sinclair, in Lynch Nebraska. Judy loved the people and memories of her life in Boyd County where her parents owned a café.

Judy married Jerry (Jerome) Fernau in 1960 and raised 6 children, Sonja, Brenda, Lisa, Brent, Todd, and Eric. Judy’s greatest loves were her husband, 6 children, 17 grandchildren, grandparents, parents, siblings, any stray animal that crossed her path, as well as any child in need of cookies and love.

Judy is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jerry, her six children: Sonja (Daryl) Teitler, Brenda (Jack) Schimenti, Lisa (David Swanson), Brent (Amy) Fernau, Todd Fernau, Eric (Kristen Fernau). As well, she leaves behind 17 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, Jack (Dianna) Sinclair, brother, Cheryl (Darrell) Rihanek, sister, Diane Sinclair, sister-in-law, Albert Brady, brother-in-law, Dickie Fernau, brother-in-law, Marilyn Galbraith, sister-in-law, and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Memorials in Judy’s name can be made to Capital Humane Society or Cedars Home for Children

A memorial service will be held at Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Drive on Wednesday (2-17-21) at 1:00 p.m. Following the CDC COVID-19 guidelines, we will comply with social distancing seating and limited gathering sizes for all visitations and services. Masks are required and we respectfully ask for your understanding and adherence to these guidelines.

No visitation.
