Judith B. McCalla

Judith B. McCalla, 75, Waverly, passed away November 29, 2018. Born April 7, 1943 in Lincoln, NE to Ivan and Ruth (Bennett) Waples. Graduate of Lincoln Northeast High School. Ret. secretary, Telex Communications.
Judith was a member of Bethany Christian Church where she served as an Elder, Deacon, Outreach Chairperson, Membership Committee Chairperson, Moderator, Statewide Christian Women’s Fellowship, and made communion bread. She also was a member of the Heritage Needlework Guild, Bernina Club, Cornhusker Doll Club, and TOPS.

Family members include her husband David McCalla, Sr., Waverly; daughter Marilyn McCalla (Terry Harding), Lincoln; son David (Kelly) McCalla, Jr., Greeley, CO; grandchildren Morgan and Evan McCalla, Greeley, CO; sister Polly Walcott, Weed, CA; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; brother Ivan Waples; sisters Josephine Burkhart, Ruthann Shrader, and Marilyn Sumpter.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday (12-3-18) Bethany Christian Church, 1645 North Cotner with Pastor Daryl Lauber officiating.

Memorials in lieu of flowers to the church.
