Jeraldine L. Berthelsen (Swim), 84, of Lincoln passed away on May 17, 2019. Born September 12, 1934 to Ora and Opal (Adams) Swim in Omaha, NE. Jeraldine was raised and grew up in Keye Paha county on the family ranch and then moved to Lincoln where she resided for 61 years in the College View area. She was a homemaker her whole life and dearly loved her family. Jeraldine graduated high school in 1951 from Platte Valley Academy, and then went on to attend Union College. Jeraldine and her husband are long time members of the College View SDA church in Lincoln, NE.
She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Owen W. Berthelsen; sons, Kelly (Kathy) Berthelsen of Lenexa, KS, Steven (Debby) Berthelsen, Gary Berthelsen all of Lincoln; daughters, Kara (Mike) Buck and Monique Saunders all of Lincoln; grandchildren, Breanna Berthelsen, Luke (Audrey) Berthelsen, Jacque Berthelsen, Lindsay (John) Carlisle, Grant Berthelsen, Ashley Buck, Ross (Becky) Buck, Annie (Tom) Birai, Sam Saunders, Crew and Case Carlisle, Brody and Gavin Berthelsen; many more family, friends and loved ones. Preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m., Saturday (5-25-19) at Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Dr., Lincoln, NE. Private family burial Sunday at College View Cemetery.
Public visitation with family greeting friends 6-8 p.m., Friday (5-24-19) at Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel.
