Gary Douglas Hartshorn

Gary Douglas Hartshorn, 62, of Lincoln, died January 4, 2019. Born on July 27, 1956 in Lincoln to Robert and Virginia (Williams) Hartshorn.

He was a member of the United Church of Christ. He worked at Southeast Community College, former owner of Wee B’ Smokin’ restaurant and Alexanders Gifts and More, a collectible gift store. He enjoyed collecting antiques, reading, traveling, Husker Volleyball and he was an avid history buff. Family was of most importance to him; he was born to be a Dad and a Grandpa. He was a man of virtue, patience and strong character who will be remembered for his definite charm, his quick wit, and his love for his family.

Survivors include daughter April (Chad Fulton) Hartshorn, Malvern, IA; son Adam (Jennifer Huigens) Hartshorn, Waverly; daughters Charli Hartshorn and Abigail Hartshorn, both of Lincoln; sister Karen Hartshorn (Artie Masinski), New York City; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2019, 1:00 p.m., Roper & Sons, 4300 O Street. Family to receive friends Monday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
