Frank Lawrence “Larry” Emery, 92, Lincoln, passed away May 10, 2021. Born December 15, 1928 in Albion, NE to Frank W. and Pearl (Johnson) Emery.
He was a graduate of Lincoln Northeast High School. He was named “Youth Worker of the Year” by the Lincoln Journal Star.
Larry was a member of Havelock United Methodist Church, and North Star Lodge #227, A.F. & A.M.
Larry coached the Midwest Golden Gloves and was inducted into the Golden Gloves Hall of Fame in 1986.
Larry retired in 1991 after 20 years as sales manager for Western Wine and Liquor.
Family members include his sons, Doug (Denise) Emery, Lincoln, Mark (Tammy) Emery, Greeley, CO, and Scott (Kathy) Emery, Omaha; grandchildren Jennifer Whitney, Shane, Matthew, Hannah, and Abigail Emery; great-grandchildren Jessica, Hunter and Hayden Whitney, and Jack Emery.
Preceded in death by his parents, wife Joan, and brothers Dwane and Orlan.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Friday (5-14-21) Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street with Pastor Todd Karges officiating. Face coverings are required.
Graveside Service: 9:00 a.m. Saturday (5-15-21) Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, 6800 S. 14th. Please meet at gate #2.
Visitation from 4-6 pm Thursday, May 13th at Roper and Sons Midtown Chapel.
