E. Louise Reed, 88, of Waverly, passed away January 24, 2019. Louise was born in Lincoln, NE on April 29, 1930 to Clarence Arthur and Alice Marian (Cooley) Althouse, Sr. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, where she had been a member of many groups over the years. Louise enjoyed sewing, cross stitching, play the organ and helping out on the farm. Louise was a dedicated mother. She treasured her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and embraced every moment with them.
She is survived by her husband Mervel of 67 years, children Michael Reed, Lincoln, Alan (Connie), Waverly, and Bev (Tom) Wobig, Lincoln; Grandsons Jason (Kara) and Todd (Julie), both of Lincoln; great granddaughters Hannah and Sarah; brother Clarence Arthur Althouse, Jr., and sister Doris Maahs; many extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Teddy, and brother Donald Althouse.
Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 28, 2019, at Faith Lutheran Church, 8701 Adams Street, Lincoln. Interment will be prior to the services, at 10:00 a.m., in the Rosehill Cemetery, Waverly, NE. The family will greet friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 27th, 2019 at Roper and Sons Funeral Home-Waverly Chapel 10851 N. 148th Street, Waverly , NE.
