Donna J. Havlat

Donna J. (Smith) Havlat, 92, of Lincoln passed away on February 7, 2019. Born June 26, 1926 to Benjamin and Ruth Smith in Burr, NE. Resident of Lincoln since 1942, member of Southern Heights Presbyterian Church, Deacon of Southern Heights Presbyterian Church, and member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary #131. Donna loved gardening, her beloved schnauzer dogs “Molly”, but most of all she enjoyed her time with family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 69+ years, Adolph; daughters, Debra Havlat of Beatrice, Susan Rehm, Judy (Bob) Herpolsheimer; son, Ken Havlat all of Lincoln; 4 grandchildren, Anthony Herpolsheimer (Jim Kraft), Katey Rehm, Jeffrey (Lauren Meter) Herpolsheimer, Jon Rehm; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Morton Smith; sister, Ruth “Helen” (Harold) Rosenthal; and son in law, Jim Rehm.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Wednesday (2-13-19) at Southern Heights Presbyterian Church, 5750 S 40th St., Lincoln, NE, with a visitation 1 hour prior to service time.

Private family burial at Lincoln Memorial Park.

Cremation to follow funeral services.

Memorials may be directed towards the Beatrice State Developmental Center, 3000 Lincoln St, Beatrice, NE 68310.
