Dean D. Witulski

Dean D. Witulski, 82, Denton, passed away January 12, 2019. Born May 22, 1936 in Lincoln, NE to Bernard and Adline (Kessner) Witulski. U. S. Navy Veteran. Ret. Carman, Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad. Member of the American Legion Post #355, V.F.W., Denton Village Board and Brotherhood of Carmen.

Dean was one of a kind. He could build a house and sew leather. His hobbies include building balsa wood airplanes and he enjoyed showing them to people. He Loved to make dog biscuits for their dog Bugger and enjoyed making soup for the family. He also enjoyed cooking French toast on the first Sunday of the month at the legion for breakfast. He was one of those guys who knew a little bit of everything and would always help who he could!

The man of many talents, retiring from the railroad after 25 years, to being the Maintenance man of Denton, working at the super 8 motel in Lincoln, to Deans Remodeling, then the post office. Not to mention the 16 years he spent being a body man. If you ever worked with Dean, you knew you needed to be fast, and always duck! The sheer amount of times grandkids got hit with 2×4’s because we had not learned yet!

Family members include his wife Becky; daughters Laura Witulski, Lincoln and Major Virginia Witulski (Brian Mason), Lincoln; son L. B. Witulski (Loren Levitt), Rollinsville, CO; grandchildren include Kimberly Witulski, Emily Crosgrove (Ian Crosgrove), Kiauna Mason, Kaleb Mason and Haley Mason. Great-grandchildren include Alex Crosgrove, Carmela Crosgrove, Izabella Crosgrove, Raina Crosgrove and Haeven Mason. nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers Laurence, Donald and Bernard.

Rosary: 6:30 p.m. Wednesday (1-16-19) Roper and Sons Chapel

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday (1-17-19) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street with Monsignor Mark Huber officiating. Dean requested casual dress. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials to the Nebraska Organ Retrieval, Lincoln Blood Bank or Food Bank of Lincoln.
