Obituary

Brian Corr

June 20, 1966 - December 11, 2020

Brian Corr

Brian Corr, 54, of Lincoln, died at home Friday, December 11, 2020 after a lengthy and courageous battle against pancreatic cancer.

The first-born child to Les and Marcia Corr, Brian was taught the value of hard work while being raised on the family farm outside of Eagle.

He attended Eagle Elementary School and graduated from Waverly High School in 1984. His senior year of high school he participated in the cooperative education program and worked for Sutherland Lumber Company. He continued his employment there after graduation, working his way up to management. In time, he switched gears and started working in the printing industry.

Brian first learned how to operate the stitcher in the bindery. When the company expanded by adding a lettershop, Brian was tasked with merging the two businesses even though he had no prior experience in the mailing industry. As the company experienced tremendous growth, Brian continued to lead the way and accept additional responsibilities. He went from a bindery employee to production manager and eventually Vice President of Operations. He managed all operations for MWI Direct for over 23 years. He worked tireless hours without complaint. Brian truly loved his work and the satisfaction of seeing a job done right.

In his free time, Brian enjoyed attending auctions, antiquing, watching Husker football games and fishing.

Brian leaves behind his wife, Tracy; daughter Samantha (Jesse) Beeck; grandchildren Lily and James; mother Marcia; sisters Christine (Ken) Kiewra and Julie; brother Brad (Lindsey); and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Brian was preceded in death by his father, Les, and his grandparents: Leonard and Marjorie (McConnel) Corr and John and Mary (Williams) Ronhovde.

Interment at Eagle Cemetery at the corner of highways 34 and 63.
