Gerry was married to Darrell for 53 years, they traveled and enjoyed life together until his passing. Her family was the center of her world, all holidays, birthdays and anniversaries were cause for celebration and bringing everyone together. Gerry and Darrell spent many winters in Arizona being “snowbirds” and making new friends while escaping the Nebraska cold.
Gerry loved crafting, which gave her an outlet to express her boundless creativity. Even as her health may have diminished other abilities, she continued to engage and excel in all things with color and creation. Music provided her enjoyment throughout her life. She played piano, loved to sing and would get great pleasure listening to other entertainers, clapping and participating in any manner.
American Lutheran Church was her church home when she and Darrell moved to Lincoln. She was a supporter of activities in the Women’s groups and event committee. She obtained an Accounting degree from Southeast Community College, and was a bookkeeper at Harley’s Heating and Air for many years before she retired.
She is survived by her son, Gene (Jerri) Neemann; daughter, June Glynn; grandchildren, Spencer Glynn, Eric Neemann, Adam Neemann and Luke Neemann; along with brother, E. Ronald Rowe.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Darrell, brothers, Hubert Rowe and Walter Rowe, sisters, Ruby Miller and Rosalynn Grundman.
Funeral Service will be held 10:00 am Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at American Lutheran Church, 4200 Vine Street, Lincoln, NE.
Visitation 5:00-7:00 pm Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Metcalf Funeral Home, 245 N. 27th Street, Lincoln, NE.
Burial at Fairview Cemetery, Lincoln, NE.
