Zella P. (Weis) Beideck

Zella P. (Weis) Beideck, 91, of Lincoln passed away on November 25, 2018. Zella was born and raised a farmer’s daughter along with 5 brothers and 2 sisters, 60 miles north of Regina, Saskatchewan Canada. She met and married Albert Weis and moved to the United States in 1948, with their 15 month old daughter Carolyn. Zella desired to be a nurse and fulfilled all the education necessary, getting her LPN license in 1956 and CAN certification in 1971. Zella worked as a nurse in several offices in Lincoln, ultimately retiring in 1996, after a long career helping many people. Albert passed away in 2010 it was then she met and married Harlan Beideck in 2011; he preceded her in death in 2018. She was a 70-year member of College View Seventh-Day Adventist Church where she served many years as a Deaconess.

Zella is survived by her daughter Carolyn (Kent) Stahly, Lincoln; sister Marina Atkinson, Alberta, Canada. Preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Albert Weis and Harlan Beideck; brothers, Ray, Stan, Percy, Ivan, Donald, and sister Esther.

Celebration Visitation will be held Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from, 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Drive, (40th and Yankee Hill). Private family interment in the College View Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the Union College Nursing Department at Union College, 3800 S. 48th St.
