Stanley E. Samuelson

Stanley E. Samuelson, 84, passed away on April 19, 2018 in Lincoln. Born May 31, 1933 to Charles and Inez (Johnson) Samuelson in Lincoln, NE. He graduated from Ceresco High School, where he found his passion for singing as a member of a barbershop quartet. He worked as a Car Parts Salesman for 46 years at L.J. Messer and then Big A Auto Parts. Stan achieved many awards and recognition for his work. He was a charter member of Grace Community Evangelical Church and served in a number of leadership positions throughout the years.

Stan enjoyed many family trips to Colorado and numerous trips to Kansas City, Branson and Arizona with his wife. He was also an avid sports fan and was a big supporter of Nebraska volleyball, basketball and football and Stars hockey. For 30 years he regularly worked out at Bryan and LifePointe. In recent years, he enjoyed regular gatherings with the good friends of the McDonald’s coffee group.

Survived by his wife of 64 years, Joyce Samuelson of Lincoln; son, Steven (Julie) Samuelson; daughter, Pamela Samuelson of Lewisburg, PA; granddaughters, Chrissa Burd of Lincoln, and Kendra (Danny) Sanchez of Parker, CO; brother, Keith (Donna) Samuelson of Lincoln; sister, Janice (David) Swartz of Lincoln. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Daryl.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday (4-23-18) at Grace Community Evangelical Church, 6843 South St, Lincoln, NE 68506. Public visitation with family greeting friends from 6-7:30 p.m. on Sunday (4-22-18) at Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Dr. (SW corner of 40th and Yankee Hill) Private burial at Lincoln Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation or to a charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Holmes Lake Rehabilitation Center and Pathways to Compassion Hospice.
