Selma J. Epp, 83, of Lincoln, passed away February 7, 2018. She was born June 3, 1934 in Henderson, NE to Henry and Katharina (Rempel) Hiebner. As a child, she gave her heart to Christ and desired to follow Him. She graduated from Grace University in Omaha where she met Herbert Epp, whom she married in 1957. They spent 26 years as missionaries in the Philippines with SEND International and raised 3 children. Selma was a devoted, loving, and supportive wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert; children Diann Warkentin (Leland), Bonnie Bowley (James), Douglas Epp (Rochelle); 12 grandchildren; 2 great granddaughters; brother Gerhard Hiebner (Carol); and brother-in-law Daniel Buller. She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Marie Buller.
A celebration of Selma’s life will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday (2/12) at MiddleCross Church, 2600 N. 70th St., Lincoln, with Rev. Tim Majorins officiating.
Visitation is Sunday (2/11), 3-8 p.m., with family greeting friends from 3-5 p.m. at Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ St.
