Scott Douglas Hansen, 42, loving husband to Stephanie (Shields) Hansen, devoted father to Ava and Banon, adored son, brother, and friend to many, passed on March 15th 2018.
Scott was born to Loren and Martha (Debus) Hansen, growing up in Lincoln Nebraska with 3 siblings, Jill (Ross) O’Shei, Angie (Dennis) Kruse, and Michael (Amanda Kirkland) Hansen. Marrying Stephanie doubled his family and more. In laws, Marty and Judy (Kahl) Shields, Andrew and Kelly (Shields) Ross and Atlee and Molly (Shields) Butzirus. Nieces and nephews, Sophie, Abigail, and Thomas O’Shei, Jacob, Judd, Mary, and Luke Hansen, and Harper and Anora Ross. God children Kelsey and Mason Guerrero.
Meeting his wife Stephanie at a very young age they fell deeply in love. Their young relationship was a true love story, as was their marriage. He was a devoted and deeply loving husband and father. He enjoyed his family time more than anything spending nearly every Sunday at his parents’ house for lunch with his 2 children Ava (13) and Banon (7). Scott expressed a deep amount of love for everyone is his family and valued that time every chance he had.
Scott’s smile and laughter were infectious. His many friends, family, and coworkers can attest to his kindness and sense of humor. Scott grew up with an unbreakable group of friends whom he loved and continually recited stories about. His memories of growing up were some of his favorite stories to tell, the funnier and more outlandish the better, it didn’t matter if it was him or someone else telling them. He had a way of captivating a group of people, but also incredibly and deeply personal when one on one. Scott loved helping people whenever he could and was a selfless giver. He will be missed and remembered by all who knew him.
Visitation 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Roper & Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 40th & Yankee Hill
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Southwood Lutheran Church
