Roger Allen Gustafson, 71, Lincoln, passed away August 16, 2017. Born October 28, 1945 in Oakes, North Dakota to Edwin and Marjorie (Perlenfein) Gustafson. U. S. Air Force Vietnam Veteran where he was an airplane mechanic. Married to Sandra Kay Wright in Malcolm, NE in 2003. Roger farmed in North Dakota prior to moving to Lincoln where he worked for 28 years as a tube mill operator for Tenneco, Inc. retiring in 2009. He enjoyed camping, NASCAR, metal detecting, panning for gold, working on cars and especially spending time with his family.
Family members include his wife, Sandra; daughter, Tina (Jamey) Polivka, Valparaiso; sons, Terry (Lori) Gustafson, Lincoln, Chad (Chris) Gustafson, Milford, Corey (Kristi) Gustafson, Lincoln; step-sons, Michael (Amanda) Wright, Omaha and Ryan Wright, Denton; 15 grandchildren, Liz and Darby Nickell, Jaydon and Jayce Polivka, Dustin and Brandon Gustafson, Dustin Lindgren, Paige (Shane) Noble, Paris and Marisah Gustafson, Nathan Wright, Zachary (Genevive) Wright, Heather Wright, Kylie and Matthew Blake and 3 great-grandchildren, Zayne Shepard, Blaine Henderson, Isayah Bliss-Gustafson; mother, Marjorie Gustafson; brothers, Larry (Renee) Gustafson and Dennis (Sharon) Gustafson, all of Fargo, ND. Preceded in death by his father, Edwin.
Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday (8-19-17) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street.
