Robert “Bob” Chrastil, 78, of Lincoln, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017. He was born in Crete, NE on April 16, 1939. Bob worked as a machinist for the BNSF Railroad for 42 years, and was in the IAM union for over 50 years. He married Elizabeth “Betty” Lovercheck, April 18, 1964. He loved traveling, boating and to go fishing, laughing with friends, and polka dancing with his wife.
Family members include his wife, Betty; daughter, Rose Crocker, Lincoln; sons, Gary (Stormy) Chrastil, Tucson, AZ, Mark (Susan) Chrastil and Steven (Candy) Chrastil, all of Lincoln; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, and 4 great great-grandchildren; brother, Norman (Laurie) Chrastil, Lincoln. Preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Karen; son, Richard; granddaughter, Michelle; great-grandson, Andrew; brothers, Edward and Louis; sisters, Evelyn, LaVerne, Marvel and Darlene.
Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Monday (11-6-17) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street.
