Lyla Lea Hergert, 76, of Lincoln, passed away April 15, 2018. Born May 15, 1941 in Lincoln, NE to Lysle and Edna D. (Peckham) Anderson. Ret. office clerk for State of Nebraska. Member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, Mayflower Society, Red Hat Society, Needle Worker’s Guild, and was a den mother for the Boy Scouts. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Family members include her husband, Larry Hergert; sons, Layne (Kelly) Hergert, Omaha, Landon (Minzhen) Hergert, Lincoln; grandchildren, Anna, Addy, and Ethan Hergert, Omaha, Tyson and Tyler Hergert, Lincoln; sister, Elaine Michaud, Lincoln. Preceded in death by parents, and brother-in-law, Rollin Michaud.
Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Friday (4-20-18) St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 8550 Pioneers Blvd. with Pastor Don Stewart officiating.
