Jillian Elizabeth Slagle Tomes, 31, of Lincoln, passed from this earth on September 11th, 2018 after suffering a fatal car accident. Jillian was born July 13, 1987 in Holdrege, NE to Betty Jones Slagle and James Marvin Slagle. Jillian attended Saratoga Elementary School, Irving Junior High, Lincoln High School, and attended the University of Nebraska majoring in Communications. Her long term goal was to become a human rights attorney. She worked several years at the Tony Brock Law Firm.
Jill was the long-time partner of Cole Leibee and they are the parents of four children; Jordan, C.J., Cruz, and Faith. The family is a member of St. Marks Methodist church in Lincoln, NE.
Jillian is preceded in death by her father, James Slagle, brother, Justin Mark Slagle, her grandparents, and cousin, Caitlin Rose Jones. She is beloved by all her family and many friends, active in her bible study, and a true scholar of the bible. She was a gifted writer and wise beyond her years. She painted beautiful pictures and loved her children and all her family.
She leaves behind her mother, Betty, her longtime partner Cole, and their children; Jordan, C.J., Cruz, and Faith, and many friends and family members.
Jill will be laid to rest next to her brother and grandparents at the Alma Memorial Cemetery in Alma, Nebraska.
