Dear Burlington family,
I am so sorry to read about Jim’s death. I remember him well from my early days as a teacher at Lefler, coming to school for parent conferences and to watch the boys play basketball. He always had a smile and a good word to say. It was such a pleasure to be part of all the boys’ education during the middle school years. I know he was very proud of all of you.
I just want you all to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. I wish all the best to your entire family.
Regards,
Dr. Chris Deibler
Jim was my supervisor when I worked at State Farm Insurance many years ago. We also came in contact at Westlake Hardware on occasion. He always had a smile for everyone he met. May the Lord Jesus Christ be your comfort and strength during this difficult time.
I am so saddened for this loss in your family. My heart break with this news. Jim was such a joy to us not only while he worked with us at Q.P. Ace Hardware, but just at any time he stopped in as a “customer”. He always shared stories and events of his family with obvious joy and delight. I extend my condolences to Jim’s wife Norma (Normie as he always called you), Jim’s boys and daughter’s-in-law, his Grandkids (Proud Grandpa) … as well as to Jim’s family that I did not have the opportunity to know. Heart Hugs and prayers. Barb Greenwalt (co-worker Q.P. Ace Hardware)
Dear Norma, I was honored to work with Jim for many years at State Farm. I learned some important leadership lessons from him and we always, always had a little fun while getting the job done. Clayton and I always enjoyed your company at countless State Farm functions….there are so many very fond memories about our times together, especially those awesome times at the lake. There are so many great things to celebrate about the tremendous person Jim was and his incredible zest for life. Please know you and your family are being held very close to our hearts and in our prayers at this very difficult time. Sending hugs to you!!
Dear Norma:
I am so devastated to hear of my 2nd cousin’s (our grandfathers were brothers) death as I hadn’t heard anything was amiss with him. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Our parents and grandparents were so close, it’s a shame I didn’t keep in close contact since I moved from Lincoln in 1978. If anyone desires information on the Burlington family tree, let me know, as Bessie Burlington Bentley’s husband, Roy Bentley, was in charge of the Latter Day Saint Genealogy division for decades and he gave me information on the Burlington relatives back into the 1600s.
