James Joseph Hruska, 45, Ashland, passed away August 14, 2018. Born July 17, 1973 in Fremont, NE to Val and Adelaide (Sudrla) Hruska. Graduate of Waverly High School class of 1991. CEO of Hruska Company. Member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
At the time of his birth, he and his parents lived on a farm near Elkhorn, NE. When he was about two years old, they moved to Waverly, NE as a result of his dads dream to pursue aviation. Jim enjoyed many airplane trips with his dad, and camping trips with family.
Jim had huge ambitions and fearless dreams. His sons, Arthur and Jacob were his greatest treasures. He was so proud of their accomplishments and loved watching them grow into great young men. Jim was constantly scheming of ways to be together with his family and friends. He made a lasting impression whether you knew him briefly or a lifetime. If he was excited about something, he wanted to take you along for the ride.
Jim put his heart and soul into all he did including starting his own business, working with Arthur and being one of Jacob’s biggest fans. Jim loved supporting both of his boys in all of their sports and activities. He was very generous. He worked hard, and played hard. He will be missed.
Jim is survived by his sons Arthur James and Jacob Thomas; their mother Leah Terrano; parents Val and Adelaide; brothers Daniel and Robert (Teresa); sisters Valerie Graves and Audrey (Scott) Nichelson; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
