James Allen “Jim” Reeves

James Allen “Jim” Reeves, 81, of Lincoln, passed away February 12, 2018. Born July 19, 1936 in Eureka, SD to Joe and Elsie (Hausauer) Reeves. He graduated from high school in Minot, ND and from Minot State University with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. Jim was a member of Mu Sigma Tau fraternity. He married Marjorie Herzog in 1960.

Jim spent 34 years in insurance, retiring as Senior Vice President of Lincoln Life and Casualty in Lincoln. He obtained the designation of “FSP” Financial Service Professional from American College. He was a registered principal with the National Association of Security Dealers.

Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed many years at the family cabin at South Bend.
A member of Eastridge Presbyterian Church and 60 year member of the Elks Lodge.

Survived by his wife of 57 years, Marjorie; sons, Ward (Karen) Reeves, Evanston, IL, Steven (Beth Chang) Reeves, Lincoln; granddaughters, Madeline (Mike) Schlosser, Sophia Reeves, Madison, WI and Kaitlin Reeves, Los Angeles, CA; great-grandson, Gage Schlosser , Lincoln; sisters, JoNell Samson, Wilton, ND and DeLores Poling, Minot, ND. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Meredith.

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday (2-17-18) Eastridge Presbyterian Church, 1135 Eastridge Drive.

Memorials to Eastridge Presbyterian Church or The Salvation Army.

Visitation: family will greet friends one hour prior to service.
