Helen Agatha Novachick, 96, of Lincoln, peacefully joined her family in the Lord’s house on September 20, 2017. She was one of 13 children, 5 brothers and 8 sisters born to Frank and Antonia Uher on a farm near Valparaiso, Nebraska. Helen married Laddie Novachick in 1946, he preceded her in death in 1973. Helen worked at the Martin Bomber Plant in Bellevue, NE during WWII. She lived in Iowa, Ohio and Michigan with her husband. Laddie sold spices to meat processing companies throughout the United States.
Helen moved from Michigan in 1994 to Lincoln to live closer to her remaining family members. She enjoyed Husker football and bowled on a senior league with her sister Marcella. Helen was a very fun and loving aunt with a sense of humor.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Monday at Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ Street.
Rosary: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday (9-26-17) St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 7601 Vine Street followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Lyle M. Johnson officiating.
2:00 p.m. burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 3353 Q Street, Omaha, NE.
