Glenn A. Weber, 87, of Firth, NE passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. Born February 17, 1931 to George and Daisy (TenHulzen) Weber in Firth, NE on the same farm where he has lived all of his life. He was a lifelong member of the Living Life Reformed Church and served 50 years on the Firth Fire & Rescue Squad. He was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. After the service, he worked at American Stores in Lincoln, NE and Duncan Aviation in Lincoln. He married Phyllis “PJ” Kelly on December 28, 1964 and to this union 3 children were born. His grandchildren were the light of his life and he enjoyed chasing them around to their various school activities.
Survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Phyllis “PJ” Weber; children, Ron Weber (Vickie Cornish) of Lincoln, Cory Weber of Lincoln, Cherie (Rich) Walters of Sterling, NE; grandchildren, Austin and Tara Walters of Sterling, and Chloe Weber of Lincoln; sister, Doris (Marvin) Hall; brother, Marvin (Ann) Weber; brother in law, Frank (Judy) Kelly; many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and co- workers. Preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday (3-15-18) at Living Life Reformed Church, 603 Russell St. Firth, NE.
A public visitation with family greeting friends will be held from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday (3-14-18) at Metcalf Funeral Chapel, 309 Nemaha St, Firth, NE.
