Geanine Bordogna

Geanine Bordogna, was born December 3rd, 1932, in Colfax County, Nebraska, to Ralph Adams and Maria (Doescher) Adams. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday, July 4th, 2017.

Geanine was a pillar of the Lincoln community. She took great pride in knowing things were done well. Geanine was a loyal friend and a well-respected business woman. Her greatest passion was being a mom to her four-legged “kids”. She was very involved in the animal rescue community. She opened Tico’s in 1976, and worked tirelessly to create the reputation it has today. She proudly opened Havelock Manor in 1994, in honor of her father Ralph Adams. She was involved in many other businesses and community endeavors throughout her life. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, and creating and collecting art in her spare time.

Geanine is survived by her daughter Lisa Jensen; grandsons, Daniel and John Anthony Jensen; nieces and nephew Dalene DeGeest, Terry Miller, Sandy Owens, and Scott Adams; special companion Roy Towl, Special friend, Shelly Amschler, and many more beloved relatives and friends too numerous to mention. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Jawain and Dallon Adams.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ Street with Pastor Doug Delhay officiating. Inurnment in the Roselawn Cemteery, Columbus, NE at a later date.
