Forrest Wilke, 99, formerly of Beatrice, passed away September 7, 2017 at Good Samaritan Society in Syracuse. He graduated from UNL, was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, served as Captain in the Army during WW II, and owned and operated Wilke Baking Company in Beatrice. Married Fleeta Sherwood in 1942.
Survived by son Steven (wife, Jeanne), granddaughter Sara King (husband, Justin); daughter Linda Cochran (husband, Phil), grandchildren Todd (wife, Sarah) and Jill Drent (husband, Kris), and great-grandchildren Brady, Briana, Morgan, and Cooper.
