Eva Minnie Yearsley

Eva Minnie Yearsley, 94, of Lincoln passed away May 2, 2018 after declining health for several months, Born January 4, 1924 in Nebraska City, NE to Logan and Nora (Moyer) Wenzel. On July 26, 1943, she married Alvin L. “Bob” Yearsley in Lincoln, NE. Their only daughter, Diana was born nine years later.

Eva’s career in cosmetology touched many lives. She loved making ladies look beautiful. Starting in Nebraska City for Dale Keortge, then to San Diego with Bob during WWII. Eva invented a mobile beauty unit for hospital patients that she used at Lincoln General Hospital in the 1960’s. When Homestead Nursing Home was built, she opened and managed the beauty shop there for 43 years where the patients and their families were an important part of her life.

Preceded in death by her husband, Bob Yearsley, her parents; and numerous relatives.
Survived by her daughter, Diana; and Eva’s other caregiver furry grand dog, Tiffany; special friend and neighbor, Alan; brother-in-law, Ronald Yearsley, Omaha.

Eva appreciated those who visited her while she could enjoy their company. Remember Eva in your own special way.

Visitation 2-8 p.m. Friday (5-4-18) at Roper and Sons, 4300 ‘O’ Street.
Private graveside service.
