Eldon D. Stithem, 86, of Lincoln passed away July 18, 2018 at the V A Hospital in Omaha. Eldon was born on September 11, 1931 in Bedford, Iowa to Laurel L. and Zoa Rita (McCormick) Stithem. U. S. Force Veteran. Retired after 30+ years as service manager at Sears Roebuck Co. Member of New Hope United Methodist Church (formerly Warren UMC), lifetime member of the V.F.W., DAV, and American Legion, 5th Communications Group and 934th Signal Battalion. He attended the Radio Engineering Institute in Omaha. Eldon and his wife Darlene enjoyed traveling.
Eldon’s family include sister Lois Minnick; brother Robert C. Stithem, both of Council Bluffs, IA and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Darlene, and sister Doris Christensen.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 11:00 a.m at Rosehill Cemetery, Waverly, NE with Rev. Jeff Adams officiating
