Edeltraut “Ede” Mathews, 79, Lincoln, died March 2, 2018. She was born October 21, 1938 in Grunau, Germany to Josef and Helene (Beck) Rinke. Her family immigrated to Deshler, NE in the 1950’s.
She is survived by daughters, Deb Mathews Walraven (Jeff Walraven), Lincoln, NE, Christie Mathews (Eric Sutherland), Ft. Collins, CO and Connie Hilligoss (David), Lincoln, NE; grandchildren, Wade Hilligoss(Jenna), Brad Hilligoss, Jackson Sutherland and Josie Walraven; great granddaughter, Eloise Hilligoss; sisters and brothers, Margaret Fishell (Wes), Denver, CO, Maggie Dittrich, Denver, CO, Heidi Newman (Ray), Gordon, TX, Josef Rinke, Jr., Lincoln, NE, Anne Dyer, Denver, CO and Frank Rinke, Denver, CO; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Alfred Rinke, sister-in-law- Tobey Rinke, brothers-in-law, Lutz Dittrich and Daniel Dyer.
Memorial service will be 10:30am, Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, 8300 E Pointe Rd, Lincoln, NE. Cremation, no visitation.
Memorials may be given to the family for later designation.
