Doreen N. Jose (McKay), 72, of Bennet, passed away on January 29, 2018 in Matanzas, Cuba. Born September 19, 1945 to William and Nora McKay (Hunt) in Alliston, Ontario, Canada.
She received her BS from Macdonald College of McGill University in Montreal, Canada and her MS from Oklahoma State University. Doreen was active in the UNL Women’s Club for many years as well as a member of the Time Out Extension Club and the Home Economists in Home and Community Association. She was an active quilter and gardener, and most of all she dearly loved her twin grandsons!
Survived by her loving husband of almost 50 years, Doug Jose; daughter, Darrell Jose; grandsons, Nathaniel and Henry; sister, Margaret; cousin, Howard. Preceded in death by her parents.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Dr., Lincoln, NE.
Cremation/No visitation.
