Donald LeRoy Kendle

Donald LeRoy Kendle, 92 of Lincoln, passed away December 24, 2017. Born June 30, 1925, in Syracuse, NE to Walter E. and Goldine (Armstrong) Kendle. WWII Army Air Corps Veteran. Don enjoyed his Huskers, specifically the football and Women’s Basketball teams. He was a member of Bethany Christian Church, member of the American Legion, former member of the Grande Squares, Lincoln square dancing club. He is a founding member of Team Ottertail, in Ottertail, MN

Family members include his daughters, Susan Schrader and Karen (John) Shelton, all of Lincoln; sister Doris (John) Scharf, Curtis, NE; brother-in-law, Ed Lane, Ooltewah, TN; sister-in-law Audrey Haas, Kennewick, WA; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Phyllis, sister Shirley Lane, brother in-law, Rollie Haas, son-in law, Don Schrader, and in laws Jackie (Gene) O’Donnell.

Funeral Service 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, 1 /3/18, at Bethany Christian Church, 1645 N. Cotner, Lincoln. Rev. Daryl Lauber officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 1/2/18 with family greeting friends from 5:00-7:00 at Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O’ St.

Memorials may be given to Bethany Christian Church or the Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
