Diane E. Chastain, age 72, died Friday, September 28, 2018 at Bryan East Hospital due to complications from heart disease. She was born in California to Wendell and Leona (Gellerman) Chastain. She was the youngest of two girls.
Preceded in death by her parents, sister Beverly Wunibald, and Son Dean Baker. She leaves behind her husband T.J. Heptig; Daughter, Kristina Wagoner and Tacha Stuart; Step-daughter, Angie (Heptig) and Dan Pike; Step-son, Todd and Christine Heptig; Grandchildren, Taylor, Sylena, Brendan, Hailey, Macayla, Casi, Ron, Ryan, Jacob; Great Grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins.
Diane had a brief stint in acting, but later chose to marry and had two children. She will be remembered for her love of life, strength, independence, her sweet and caring side, and always helping out her neighbors, friends and family. Diane was often the glue holding them all together. She loved being outdoors gardening and animals.
