Billy Lee Wendt, 71, of Lincoln, passed away March 9, 2018. Born June 23, 1946, in Nebraska City, NE, to Roy and Helen (Webber) Wendt. Ret. teacher, Southeast Community College. Billy was a member at First-Plymouth Congregational Church. He was a Cub Scout, Boy Scout leader and past Sunday school teacher. An avid golfer, he made two holes-in-one. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Family members include his wife of 51 years, Jane; sons, Jason and wife Tonja Peterson-Wendt, Ashland, Eric and wife Beth Brady, Lincoln, and Jeremy and wife Lauren Bartley, Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Marcus, Mia, Sydney, and Alma Wendt; sister, Shari Paulsen, Gretna; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Preceded in death by his parents, and brothers-in-law, James Eisenhauer, Keith Block, and Larry Paulsen.
Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday (3-13-18) First-Plymouth Congregational Church, 2000 D Street.
